This was Burt Reynolds famous horse who was with foal at the time. We had an arrangement that he would call me the minute that she gave birth so that I could rush out to his Jupiter ranch to take pictures of the mother and foal. Buddy named her Dancing after her mom. He called; I took off. This was the horse that took a run at me when I was talking with Buddy. I thing that she was jealous so I was a little leery of going into the chorale but I had to in order to get close up pictures . I entered carefully, She snorted! I sat on the ground to show her that I was not a threat. It seemed to work and the little foal was curious and came close. I got plenty of pictures of Dancing but it took me hours to get a good picture of Cat Dancing and they were never together except when mom came to shoo her baby under the shelter. Finally I felt like I had enough reference photos to compose a oil painting and here it is. I painted the Jupiter Inlet as the background because he loved it so!
