There are three images that are dedicated to my sister: she named them Songs of Roses I,II,
and, III. This is the first of the three. I loved my sister to the moon: she was the best person that I knew. Her thinking of this name is just so her! The reference for this painting was a rose in my garden so I could look at it as much as I wanted. But I wanted droplets and no rain came so I poured a glass of water over it to see where the drops would go.
Hello everyone. My name is June Pauline Zent and I have been working at my art since I was about six years old. At first with pencil, then colored pencil and later watercolor, oil, and pastel. I have also been a teacher of all of these mediums for many years both public in schools, colleges, galleries and privately in my studio. I have won more than my share of awards and honors and commissions from famous people and Institutions. Now I just want to market my prints by myself with the help of old and new friends. The question most often asked is why I don't stick to a few subjects and present a more unified body of work. The answer is I believe that you will find unity in my work if you look for it like most art and I paint what inspires...

Her name is Carol Marlene Zent and husband. In case you are wondering Zent is our maiden name which I always used for my arts sake. It is now my legal name. I pine for my sister every day. We lost our parents when very young and were in a orphans home until my grandmother took us in. She is my hero and will always be so!
