Dominique , You do know that this is a oil painting and not a photo or a reproduction? This rose lives in my garden and it is painted PlainAir I can just look out the window and sometimes poor water over flower to see where the droplets go. I do add what I think works and mininize what I think doesn't work. Thank you for your FAV.

Kim you must know that capture is usually reserved for photographs as in "snap" I have nothing against photos but I assure you this rose took many hours to paint in oil!

Thank you so much for your comment Sabina. It was wonderful to hear but don't sell yourself short. One of the best ways to gain skill is to study other artist and then go to your easel and try. Keep going back and trying again until you get what you want. When I was young Leonardo De Vencey and michaelangelo were my go tos. I learned a lot from them but the happy result is once you learn what you like then you go on to develop your own style!
